Whoa! Chocolate Sauce

4 one oz. bars of unsweetened baking chocolate
1 stick of butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 boiling water
2 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter and chocolate bars over very low heat. Stir in sugar until mixture is blended well. Add boiling water, salt, corn syrup and stir until blended. Do not let mixture boil. Remove from heat when mixture is smooth and has lost its sugar graininess. Stir in vanilla and serve either very warm or cooled. Store in refrigerator.
