Cabbage Patch Stew

5 cups of leftover Pintos
1 head of cabbage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 pkg of dry italian dressing mix
1 lb. ground beef
1 quart or 15oz. can of stewed tomatoes

Place pintos in a 4&1/2 quart pot or pot of your chioce. Just make sure it's big enough to accommidate all ingredients. Turn pintos on low and add tomatoes, cabbage, and dry italian dressing mix. Add cabbage to your liking, depending on how much you want. Let this mixture cook on low. Then cook groundbeef and onion in a skillet. When groundbeef is done drain and add to the pinto mixture. Bring to a boil and let simmer for about 30 minutes. Then serve with cornbread or crackers.
