ANGEL OAT SQUARES

BASE:

3/4 C. butter or margarine softened
1 1/4 C. all purpose flour
1 1/4 C quick oats
3/4 C. brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

In microwave, heat butter for 30-45 seconds until soft. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. Stir into softened butter until blended. Press mixture into 9x12 microwavable dish.
Cook uncovered on high 3-4 minutes. Remove from microwave and let cool to room temperature.

TOPPING:

32 lg. marshmallows
1 C. milk
1 sm. can drained, crushed pineapple
1/2 C. nuts
1 C. cream (hand whipped or processed whipped topping like Cool Whip, Dream Whip, etc.).

Heat marshmallows and milk together in double boiler until marshmallows are melted. Let cool. Add pineapple, nuts and whipped cream. Spread over cooled oat pastry mixture.
