Ooey Gooey No Fuss Cinnimon Buns
Just make the basic white bread recipe, and set the machine to the dough cycle. When it's ready, put it on a floured board, knead it, and roll it flat into a rectangle. Rub it with butter, and sprinkle with a mixture of white sugar and lots of cinnimon. Add raisins if your monstors want'em! Roll up like a jelly roll, folding the ends under. Pinch the seam shut. Cut into 1/2 slices, place in buttered pan with a bit of brown sugar dusting the bottom. Let rise for 1/2 hr. Cook for at 300 degrees for 30 min. While still warm, drizzle with icing glaze. All this takes is a 1/4 C milk, 1/2 C icing sugar, 1 tbsp butter, and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Take a spoon and make squiggly lines all over the top.
And don't forget the best part - the kids will clean the icing beaters for you, saving extra washing!
easy, no fuss, looks impressive and looks like it involved a lot of work. Of course, tell people how involved it was, and just sit back and smile,...after wiping that icing off your chin!
