Get it yourself!
After four children and countless steps getting a glass down from the cabinet for a child...I finally figure out to place all of my children's eating and drinking items in a
lower cabinet near the sink. They can get
what they need at anytime without bothering
mommy, and it is easier for them to put their
things away when emptying the dishwasher.
Now, my trips to the kitchen are less frequent!

Get More Use From Your Swiffer
I have two inside dogs that shed A LOT. I bought a Swiffer thinking it would make it easy to keep up with all of the dog hair. I found that it did a great job picking up the little everyday dirt (like it advertises), but when it came to picking up the dog hair, it really fell short. I would have to use three to four of the rags daily just to keep up. Anyone that has a Swiffer knows how expensive the rags are, so I was very disappointed. Now, I put a paper towel on the Swiffer mop first and run it across my floors. The paper towel picks up the dog hair, but not all of the other stuff. Then, I use the swiffer rag to clean up the rest. I can use the paper towels as often as I want and my floors are finally free of dog hair! I also use wet paper towels on the Swiffer mop to clean up little spills or muddy footprints. It is a whole lot easier on my back!

Get Organized
I found that a shoe organizer that hangs on the door of a closet is the best organizer for hats and mittens. Ya know, the ones that have all the pockets in them. I got mine at Wal-mart for seven dollars. The pockets are low enough that even my two year old can find her outside "gear".

Getting Pen/Marker Ink Out of Clothes
There are two ways that you can do this. One way is to put hair spray on the stain right before you are about to wash it. Another way is that if you have a spray poduct that is from Bath & Body Works, then all you have to do is spray it onto the stain and scrub it a few times, or until you see that the stain is gone.

Getting Rid of Fruit Stains
Fruit stains can be removed from clothes with a
little care before washing in warm water. Salt
sprinkled on the stain and then rinsed in cold
water can lift out most of the stain. If the stain
remains after washing, hydrogen peroxide may
get the rest of it out.

Getting Rid of Mites on your Plants
This is a tip I learned from my Grandmother. If you find mites on your plants spray it with Lysol spray. It doesn't hurt the plant but kills the bugs.

Good Cleaning Products
This is in reference to getting Easter egg dye and various other things off of counters and just about anything.
The first thing is colors. You can get color markings off of anything, except flat paint, with WD40. From walls, to dressers, to glass.
The second thing is rust spots, mildew spots and Koolaide on coutner tops and tables. I use a product called Zap. All I do is just spray it on the spot, let it sit for a couple of minutes and then wipe away. This also works on tile and makes the grout white.
The third thing is Simple Green. This cleans everything that is greasy, yucky, has a film on it. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. It also has a faint smell of mint.
And, the last one is OxyClean. This is also a very, very great product. This is good for those nasty stains in the bathtub and in the toilet. All you do it make a paste (this should not be runny, but should not be thick). You will smear the paste onto the surface, let it sit and when it starts to foam all you need to do it just take a sponge and wipe away. You can also use this in the laundry. What I use it for that is great is soaking those socks (white socks). I either put them in the soak sink or a bucket with water and a scoop of Oxiclean and let the socks soak. This gets the socks very clean.
I hope this helps.

Got a fresh juice stain?
One of your kids has just spilled bright red Koolaid on your carpet! What do you do? Well, would you believe salt will get that stain out? On a fresh stain, sprinkle table salt. Cover the stain completely with the salt. Let the salt sit there for a bit, take sponge/rag and wipe it up and voila, the stain is gone!!!
